When I was a little boy
I spent my time in the simple joys of fantasy
What could be
Bounding, jumping happily
I’d flap my arms in ecstasy
Feeling free with pure glee

Time did move on
I learned a lot ’bout being human
I thought out loud with friends
Feeling with sincerity
Loving our humanity

Life itself has many turns
It truly is an odd sojourn of memories
self’s history
When I was a little man
I thought I’d lead the whole shebang
Impact the world
Through deed and word

But I was wrong
I speak but so few listen
I still sing out
my heart
Oozing out of every pore
The fragrant aroma that soothes and stirs

Come dine with me
On the beauty of the moment
Devour lustily our world
Paint with me a masterpiece
Out of all we feel and think

Touch is the door
To our feeling connected
Taste is the way we share
Engulfed in your lover’s kiss
Breaking bread in social bliss
