There is something I feel I need to say
Tho no one is listening I’ll say it anyway
We’re not phantoms nor language determined selves
We’re not modern for fables we still do tell
We’re afraid to love keep busy all the time
We’re afraid to die put gods up in the skies
We become slaves to that which we create
We speak of freedom yet believe in fate
My life is simple getting richer all the time
Tho it’s fragile, I do my best to shine
When all’s said, there’s nowhere I’d rather be
I take solace in my mortality
We are at peace, but have no peace of mind
There is no trial yet these are trying times
There is no Truth, such truth we cannot deny
Some overcome desire if they desire the sublime
Life is a passion so dear, it has all the mystery I require
