Looking at life thru the eyes of fear
Faith, greed and beliefs we treasure so dear
Infinite life our goal sincere
The spiritualist and scientist cloud as they clear
The limits we strive hard to overcome
Make life possible are its total sum
Why is being human such a bad gig?
What’s so wrong with life as it is?
I thirst it all, the fat and the thin
A moment of failure breeds the chance to win
Alert I see the storm about to come
To this the infinite seekers are deaf and dumb
Fleeing the body that houses our joy
Truth seekers feel all in a senseless void
Spirit is fine for those in denial
Or for who life’s an illusion a tragic (fruitless) exile
I prefer to swim in the sea of sensation
Feast on the simple pleasures of history and anticipation
Without some friction there’s no mountain to climb
A sense of accomplishment gives me reason to smile
I just want to dance, I just want to swim
I just want to laugh, I just have to grin
I’m so excited by the challenge within
I’m so delighted to take it all in
Feel the magic in the coarseness of the fabric
Breathe in deep the elixir of a lilac
Linger a moment on the sadness of a memory
Gaze awhile at the blueness of our canopy
Touch my life with the power of a dream
Guide my hand to release a basic need
Dazzle me with something that you noticed
Patterns never cease to amaze me
